It’s Election Time

Yes, today is election day. You did vote today, didn’t you? You did? Good!

But that is not what we’re writing about today. Today we’re writing about the upcoming Local 2432 Elections. It’s that time of year again, the time of year when you, the members of Local 2432, choose who is in charge.

This year the Nominations will take place at a Special Meeting on November 18 beginning at 5:30 pm and ending promptly at 7:30 pm.

The positions available are:

President – Any Member with more than one year of continuous membership in the Union is eligible to run for this position.

Treasurer – Any Member with more than one year of continuous membership in the Union is eligible to run for this position.

Secretary – Any Member with more than one year of continuous membership in the Union is eligible to run for this position. This position is only for one year to bring the position back in line with the Local Constitution.

Executive Board, General – Any Member represented by the General Contract with more than one year of continuous membership in the Union is eligible to run for this position.

Executive Board, Supervisory – Any Member represented by the Supervisory Contract with more than one year of continuous membership in the Union is eligible to run for this position.

Executive Board, At-Large – Any Member with more than one year of continuous membership in the Union is eligible to run for this position.

Trustee, Three-Year Term – Any Member with more than one year of continuous membership in the Union is eligible to run for this position.

Any active member can nominate any other qualified member and you can nominate yourself.

All members are encouraged to participate! 

The Elections will be held on December 2 from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm. The ballot  count begins immediately after the voting ends and the winners announced at the close of the ballot count.

If there is a need for a run-off election, that will be on December 9th and we’ll advertise more if we need to.
